Formula Focus Review: Effective Nootropic or Hype?

Focus Formula is a dietary supplement, produced by a company called Windmill Health Products, which is distributed pretty widely in the world. It is known as a cognitive enhancement nutritional supplement. Because it is pretty popular, you can find it on many online retailer sites, but a few people have also found it in certain gas stations and convenience stores.

While a lot of hype has been centering on dietary supplements that improve your brain, a lot of different products have become very popular. However, not every product is going to be effective or even worth your money. In this review, we will take a look at one of these popular products. This one is called Formula Focus, and apparently, it can improve your brain functioning.

Its ingredients include DHA, DMAE, Folic Acid, Huperzine A, Vinpocetine and Ginkgo Biloba. All of these have specific properties and have been proven to improve particular areas of the mental function.

DHA, or Docosahexaenoic acid, is an omega three fatty acid that is mostly used because it can improve the health of the cell membrane. It is an acid that is very important for the correct growth and development of the brain in infants. However, it is also required by the adult brain for optimal function. Children who lack DHA can end up developing various learning disabilities like dyslexia, for example. Children who are prodigies and overachievers tend to have plenty of DHA in their bodies because this acid can strongly improve the ability to learn.

The Docosahexaenoic acid is also known to provide support for the eye function of both children and adults and just as well, it is a very strongly linked to the heart and the cardiovascular system.  One study whose subjects used DHA for six months regularly proved that it could increase and support the memory of those over fifty years old. This acid can keep our brain performance, heart health and eyesight in optimal condition. And other benefits of this product include regulated blood pressure and blood triglyceride levels.

DMAE, or Dimethyl Ethanolamine, is known as a compound that can help with all kinds of mental health. It can reduce the production of the age pigment that slowly makes cognitive abilities decrease with age. This ingredient can also improve memory and how well we retain and recall information. At the same time, it can protect neuron cells and other cells from oxidation and its harmful effects because DMAE also acts as an antioxidant in some cases. Other benefits that have been noted for this compound while doing research included the fact that it can sustain a healthy metabolic rate. DMAE is also often used in particular face and body creams because it can prevent premature aging, through tightening and toning the skin.

A folic Acid is just a form of the B vitamin, but it is water soluble. This substance often naturally occurs in certain common foods like cereal, pasta, flour, bread, cookies, various vegetables and fruit, beans, mushrooms, yeast, meat and so on and so forth. Even so, a lot of people have been using it as a dietary supplement for many different reasons. Not only can this product treat and prevent anemia, poor nutrient absorption, and liver diseases, it can also avoid miscarriages in pregnancies or congenital disabilities. This ingredient is also beneficial for severe problems like preventing various types of cancer, heart diseases and mental health problems like Alzheimer’s disease. But at the same time, there are a lot of people who only use this product to improve the quality of their hair, skin, and nails. Because it is so essential to the proper functioning of the human body and strongly involved in the synthesis of red blood cells, it is very beneficial in many ways.

Huperzine A is a cognitive enhancer that promotes the growth of nerve endings and prevents the degradation of the neurotransmitters. It has the potential to enhance the brain function, maintain the health of the mind, and especially improve the memory. This is one of the more commonly found ingredients in many nootropic dietary supplements that are on the market right now. Many people use it because it can increase the levels of acetylcholine in your brain, which is the neurotransmitter that is responsible for the ability to learn information.  Not only that, but the product can also improve the overall brain function and memory and maintain the health of your brain intact.

Vinpocetine is a substance that increases the blood circulation in your brain, making it more alert and more efficient. This ingredient can also act as an antioxidant, prevent and treat menopause symptoms but it is mostly known well for its ability to protect the brain and its cells from oxidative damage.  It can also increase the energy levels and the concentration levels. While it can easily be used as a treatment for the decline of the cognitive function with age, it also has the potential to reduce and prevent neural inflammation.  This ingredient does have a few mild effects in the forms of nausea or sleep problems.

Ginkgo Biloba is far the most well-known ingredient in this supplement because of its proven memory benefits. And long before these benefits were found out about, this substance was still used but because of other abilities. It is also able to prevent and cure a wide range of specific conditions. It can also increase energy levels, fight various infections, provide relief for the symptoms of asthma and bronchitis, enhance and improve sexual performance and prevent and reduce the pain of muscles or joints.

These ingredients are all very beneficial, but unfortunately, Focus Formula provides minimal quantities of them. These useful substances can easily be found in other stronger products in far more significant amounts. A product like Focus Formula cannot hurt because it does seem helpful and it has no harmful side effects, but it is difficult to say how useful a product like this can be, considering that the amounts of ingredients are a little lower than what is recommended for overall improved brain performance.
